The goal of Unity Madrassah is to stimulate the spiritual and intellectual strengths of each child. Students are encouraged to strive to achieve their full potential.  We promote an ethos of positive dialogue within society. We aim to educate our children to participate effectively and constructively within a spiritual, Qu’ranic and Prophetic perspective through good example, discourse and effective communication. This is aimed at improving and contributing to the world in which we all live, study and work.

Our Madrassah provides completely unique opportunities for the youth of this day and age. We teach the fundamental subjects of Islam such as Aqeedah, Fiqh, Seerah, Tajweed, Arabic Language, Qu’ran, Urdu and a variety of other sacred knowledge to ensure our students receive essential Islamic studies from a very young age. By doing so we are nurturing them to become great assets of the Deen and pillars of our community.

From its inception, UET has tapped into the expertise of the local and regional Muslim community. We have a core team of six trustees who oversee management, quality and growth. Our trustees are themselves parents, who collectively considered a gap in the provision of high quality, forward-thinking Islamic education locally. They sought an environment that was reflective of the needs of Muslim children in modern Britain and responsive to the technological advances in education. Along with unrelenting passion as parents, they bring with them professional expertise from the fields of Education, Law, Social Care, Psychology, Youth and Community Work, to name a few.

UET is a not-for-profit organisation, supported by volunteers who are passionate about bringing a fresh approach to madrassah education in Blackburn. Our mission is to provide high quality education based upon Islamic principles and the teachings and practices of our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW. Our focus is to enrich the lives of children and young people with shared values based upon mutual love and respect which extends beyond the madrassah and into the wider community.
